I have not worked with Kerio Winroute, but should I set up a small-biz firewall again, I would pick Kerio Winroute or Windows 2008 R2. 2008 R2 has a really solid looking VPN implementation, and it seamlessly integrates with Windows 7. The very noticable downside is that Windows 7 is required on the client PCs. windows sbs 2008 - VPN SBS2008 cannot connect - Server Fault I've got a SBS 2008 server that is setup and running great. Exchange works, fileserver everything a ok. VPN also runs but.. nobody is able to connect to it. The router is a WRT54G from Linksys. It has VPN passthrough enabled. Configuring an SSTP VPN on Small Business Server 2008 – C7 SSL based VPN’s are great. In short it is VPN without firewall or NAT issues (both of which you get with PPTP and IPSec VPN’s).
